Explanation of responses
- F1The restricted stock units were granted on March 1, 2017, subject to stockholder approval of the AutoNation, Inc. 2017 Employee Equity and Incentive Plan, which was obtained on April 19, 2017. The restricted stock units became reportable on February 14, 2018, upon the satisfaction of a performance condition. The restricted stock units will vest in 25% annual increments on each of the first four anniversaries of March 1, 2017, subject to continued employment with the registrant. Each restricted stock unit represents a contingent right to receive one share of the registrant's common stock or at the registrant's election, the cash value thereof.
