Explanation of responses
- F1Acquired pursuant to The Medicines Company Employee Stock Purchase Plan ("ESPP") for the ESPP purchase period beginning March 1, 2015 and ending August 31, 2015. In accordance with the terms of the ESPP, these shares were purchased based on 85% of the fair market value closing price of the issuer's common stock on March 2, 2015.
